We knew Jalcon had never had a leaky home.

Happy to be home

Richard and Heather are extremely busy people with high-stress professional lives. But seeing the couple relax in their kitchen, looking out to the pool, the smell of coffee and freshly baked biscuits wafting through the house, they might just as well be
on holiday.

 “We do still get away, but we’re just as happy with holidays at home. We love being here, love having people over. It’s the perfect house for entertaining”. We can’t take all the credit for that. The design came from Heather and Richard’s architect and the land was theirs. We just built the home.

Look... no leaks!

Before approaching us, Heather and Richard did a lot of homework. “We’d looked at a lot of homes but the ones we liked were all built by Jalcon Homes. We were very concerned about leaky homes and were impressed that Jalcon Homes had never had a leak”. Richard drew up a comprehensive checklist of what they wanted taken care of. We ticked off each one as we built.

 
Leaving it up to the experts

“The best thing about building with Jalcon was that there was no stress. They’re the experts, we just left them to it. They did exactly what they promised which was to build a quality home, on time”.

They both agree that the process was easier on Richard than on Heather. “As soon as building started, Richard went overseas for six months and left me to it. I was here building a house and he was in Timor helping the UN build a national Police force”.

A place for everybody

Everybody has their own special place in Heather and Richard’s home. The cats enjoy beds built into the laundry shelving (“the best laundry in the world” says Heather) and everybody enjoys the pool, bbq and entertainment areas with their seamless indoor- outdoor flow. Guests who stay over, wind up in the guest room with “pool views” and their own ensuite. Richard’s “special place” is on the couch in front of the flat screen or in his own separate butler’s kitchen. And although Heather’s daughter enjoys an en suite bathroom bigger than her mother’s, Heather has a bigger wardrobe – just walk in and enjoy the view! And the chandelier in the foyer? Eco-bulbs. We like that.

“Yes, my daughter has a bigger bathroom than me. I just tell her it’s the same size, different shape. Anyway, I’ve got a bigger wardrobe!”
